Some Advice From Energy Savvy Marylanders

As we build up towards our big announcement on Friday; we thought it would be prudent to highlight the video above.  The video focuses on homeowners in Maryland and how they save energy in and outside the home.  Many of those questioned mentioned turning off electronics that aren’t being used.  Upgrading their insulation was another often mentioned remedy for lowering energy costs.  During times like these all of us are looking for ways to save money.  We start noticing the little things that pile up.  CFL light bulbs save you $40 over their lifespan.  Shutting off your computer when it is not being used can save you over $90 a year.  Companies that shut off their computers at night can save around $10,000.

On Friday we will introduce a big way to curb home energy bills.  We can all save energy by eliminating some of the smaller issues. In 2 days we will reveal how we will help 52 homeowners save on their energy bills in a big way.  Stay Tuned!

What You Need to Know About Insulation in Maryland

It is the end of March in Maryland and believe it or not it’s spring!  Of course, it is hard to make this claim when there is snow in the forecast.  Sooner or later the warmer days will be here, the Orioles will have Camden Yards jumping and your energy bills will go up.  If you are looking to curb the latter of these, you may be interesting in adding insulation in your Maryland home.

Home Insulation is commonly associated with cold weather, but it is just as useful in the warmer months.  Insulation will keep the cool air your system generates inside your house longer and require less work from your AC.  This will also keep your system running longer as you won’t have to depend on it as much.

Homeowners in Maryland have plenty of options when it comes to insulation. Not only do you have to choose an installer, but you have to choose the right type on insulation for your home.  After the jump, we’ll provide 4 things to keep in mind when upgrading your insulation in Maryland.
