We all know that doors can be beautiful by themselves, especially Long Doors, but why not spruce them up with some new, Autumn decor to welcome your Thanksgiving guests?
Instead of the typical autumn wreath, try hot gluing autumn leaves, acorns, maize, and branches to an empty, wooden picture frame. You can glue all around the picture frame, or keep some of the frame showing for a more rustic look. Either attach this frame to a regular wreath hanger, which you can hide by gluing leaves, branches, and more, or use an orange or mauve ribbon to hang the frame on your front door.
Welcome your guests inside with pumpkin pie potpourri
Fill your kitchen or any other room with the welcoming smell of pumpkin pie.
Below is a great new way to fill your home with the welcoming smell of pumpkin pie.
Cut the top and clean out the inside of a few small to medium-sized pumpkins. Use an apple corer to make holes all around each pumpkin for venting. Rub seasonal spices, such as cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, vanilla, and cloves throughout the inside of the pumpkin. Place a small, votive candle inside the pumpkin. When you light the candle, the smell of pumpkin pie will fill every room — before you even bake the actual pie!
We hope these small tips add some festivity to your home for the upcoming holiday. Again, Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Listen to Director of Marketing Paul Murskov as he describes real places to get reviews on Long Fence and Home, the best replacement windows in Maryland, Virgina and Washington DC.
The team of energy experts at Long Fence and Home would like to wish everyone a Happy Veteran’s Day, but more importantly to offer our thanks to the brave men and women who have served our country and continue to protect everything that we hold dear.
The founder of Long Fence and Home, Bob Long, served our country as a Merchant Marine during World War II, and instilled in the company an appreciation for members of the military. As a continuation of this appreciation, Long Fence and Home always offers current and past military personnel a 25% discount on all products and services.
Along with the discount, Long Fence and Home will be participating in Decorate-A-Vet next week, a project where we will be joining other service and home improvement companies to enhance the homes of veterans in the community.
We are eternally grateful for everything our military does throughout the world, and will continue to help out anyway we can. If you see a veteran today, be sure to shake their hand and say thank you. They certainly deserve it.
