The Quality of Space: Better Living with Less RoomJuly 15, 2010It all began with a concept of bed usage compared to its amount of space. The bed is only used to sleep in, but takes up a lot of unnecessary room. If you are living in a relatively condensed area and need more space, TreeHugger has a solution for you. Beginning with transformation sofas, TreeHugger provides a showcase of different types of loft beds to help with living conditions.
Architectural designers discovered that residents can enjoy the same quality of living in more confined space. They found it most fitting to have a pull-out bed coming out of the wall and hidden with a door, or most popular, putting the bed on top of the walk-in closet. Regardless, much space is saved when having a bed on the same floor (in the same room), but on a different level. These architectural designs help with more than just better living in smaller spaces. Now, instead of purchasing a huge home or condo for more space, people can save money by searching for smaller places with bigger ceilings. This can also save on high property taxes and home bills because of the less amount of space central airing needs to cover. Children also find it fun to have multiple levels on the same floor in the room. It can also be convenient in caring for a newborn child (as seen in the last picture). Overall, these are good ideas and designs for people to consider when purchasing a place of residence. One Comment on “The Quality of Space: Better Living with Less Room”Leave a Comment |
